The service is designed for individuals and small organizations whose files are spread across computers, external drives, cloud platforms, email, phones, and informal folders without a consistent process.

Starting price: $600-$1,000
Final pricing depends on the number of users, storage locations, media types, and level of customization required.
A typical Archive Setup may include:

- Inventory of current storage locations and tools
- Custom folder and collection structure
- File-naming and identifier conventions
- Recommended metadata fields
- Backup and storage recommendations

Archive Setup provides a practical system and implementation plan. It does not include comprehensive organization of every existing file.
Setup and implementation
Clients who want help putting the system into use can request a separately scoped engagement. Work may include folder templates, a defined pilot collection, metadata templates, checksum or validation workflows, documentation, and staff or studio training.
Implementation engagements are typically scoped after discovery and may range from $1,500-$4,000 or more depending on volume and complexity.
Service boundaries
Bulk file organization, migration, metadata entry, hardware installation, formal appraisal, legal provenance determination, conservation treatment, cybersecurity certification, and ongoing technical support are not included unless separately agreed.
The scope will define users, storage locations, folder templates, metadata fields, training sessions, and any pilot files or objects before work begins.
Which service fits?
Archive Health Check is for an existing archive whose condition or risks are uncertain. Archive Setup is for files and records that do not yet have a consistent working system.
